For the 2020-21 school year, Amy Coyle will take on a new role as principal at Wright Elementary following the retirement of Sara Casebeer. Amy currently serves as an assistant principal at Scott Elementary School in Salem.

Amy is originally from Oregon, but started her career as an educator in Phoenix, AZ. She gained experience as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, and even spent two years as the director of curriculum and instruction at a charter high school.

Upon moving back to Oregon to be closer to family, Coyle landed in SKPS teaching in a 3-4 ESOL blend at Highland Elementary.

She felt drawn to continue supporting teachers and helping advance the teaching profession, so she became a district beginning teacher mentor.

For the last three years, Coyle has been at Scott Elementary, serving as the instructional mentor and transitioning to assistant principal. She is very proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher and is dedicated to always putting students first while simultaneously guiding educators in their professional growth.
